Kudos to JW HOLSTEINS for being open during the power outage and flood of July 3rd ‘26! When every other bar on Oak Park Avenue had closed, the enduring staff @ Holstein’s served the local populace in the dark and sans lighting! And what a fantastic experience! Bar trivia on Wednesdays is always a blast, beer towers, good food and good vibes and laughs. Bar tenders are super nice and drinks are amazingly priced.
I love the inside, low lighting, and plenty of space. Nice outdoor area. I like privacy fencing. And of course, Cornhole (bags)!
